COMPANY HISTORY

Nigeria Gas Products Limited (Formerly Mouka Limited) started as a family owned business half a century ago in Kano. It was pioneered by the children of the late Mr. Faiz Moukarim. The company was then incorporated under the name Moukarim Metalwood Factory Limited in 1959.

It began operations with the production of furniture and allied metal products providing a major portion of the market in Northern Nigeria with quality furniture. To strategically position the company to meet the challenges of the 70's, the owners decided to diversify into the production of intermediate raw materials for the furniture industry by setting up, in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria Gas Products Limited (Formerly MOUKA PIPE Mill) in 1976.

NIGERIA GAS PRODUCTS LIMITED (FORMERLY MOUKA PIPE MILL), THE TRADITION GOES ON

Our Pipe Section of Nigeria Gas Products Limited (Formerly MOUKA PIPE MILL). We take special pride in its continuing the old tradition of Moukarim Metalwood Factory the predecessor of Nigeria Gas Products Limited (Formerly Mouka PIPE MILL). At that time, it produced beds fabricated from metal pipes and spring coils meant for the school market in particular. Student desks, chairs and double bunk beds to hundreds of schools were but some of the items produced.

Nigeria Gas Products Limited is now a fully fledged industrial set up. It specializes in the production of Round and Square Pipes, Cut to Length Flat Sheets, Corrugated Sheets, , Z-Purlin, Nails of all sizes as well as Hard Drawn Wire.

Autonomously located in Oregun Industrial Estate, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria Gas Products Limited produces in excess of 42000 tons of processed steel a year with an installed capacity of 62000 tons.

Four Pipemills , Two Japanese UNIMAC mills, a German UNGERER and an English DANIEL SMITH mill form the backbone of our Production Line. Capable of producing a variety of pipe specs. Round, Square and Rectangular pipes with a wide range of sizes, 12.7 to 101.6mm.

Two Slitter Machines (A German RDB and a Japanese SONODA ) and Two Z-Purlin along with an UNGERER Cut Line compliment our Pipe mills. Producing a variety of specs and sizes allows us to take immediate custom orders and ensure their prompt delivery.

One German and Five Chinese Sket Wire Drawing Machines are also in line to draw wire from 8mm down to 2 mms, and Seventeen Chinese Shanghai Quning Nail Machines produce nails from 2.54 to 12.7 cm.

Our set up ,as depicted above, can cater with precIsIon and punctuality to diverse assorted needs of Square, Rectangular and Round Pipes, Z-Purlin , Door Frames, Standard Size and Cut To Length Flat Sheets, Corrugated Sheets Special Size Slit Coils , Nails and drawn Wire. Our Raw Hot and Cold Rolled Steel is imported from reputable and highly regarded suppliers such as SALZGITTER, PETER CREMER, SM EXPORT, MAC-STEEL and others.

Nigeria Gas Products Ltd. and its management are well aware of the legacy they belong to, and as such continue to hold firm to the production of "Precision in Quality".
